In an otherwise stellar and super fun experience, there often emerges those most dastardly of tricksy creatures known as glitches. Don’t say the word too loudly or you might become sterile. The Left 4 Dead demo that me and Jon are currently enjoying is not immune to such wiley little vagabonds as seen in these images:
Kinda gives the game an 80’s look, which is a plus in my book. Hopefully they nip this in the bud before lunch, i mean launch.

You know, come to think of it, I’m not sure whether this is a glitch or something up with our drivers? This only happened when we both turned on 16xQ MSAA (wow that is SO nerdy when you type it all out there.)
Yeah – looks like a graphics glitch.
Although apparently you can enter console commands to spawn zombies or play as a hunter….
Also – you playing with an Nvidia or ATI card? XP or Vista?
I’m running great on an ATI HD4870 in XP, but everything ran wonky with the same card in Vista…
I’m running Vista Home Premium 32 bit with an EVGA 9800GX2 video card. I think it might have had something to do with the settings Jon mentioned above though cause I turned them down and haven’t had the problem since.
Yeah, I’ve had some friends tell me they’ve played as Boss Infected, but with a lack of proper spawn points, climbable surfaces, and such … it seems like those elements weren’t mapped into the demo levels, which is understandable I guess… But it’s okay … there are only so many days left …
There are a number of Glitches in L4D, there is a whole list at http://gamerglitch.com/category/glitches/left-4-dead-glitches/
Nice plug for your site there, buddy. It’s ok, the first one’s free.
